While evading a lawless posse, two bandit brothers must carry their slain brother’s body 2000 miles across the wild west to escape a curse upon their souls.
O Bury Me Now is a rollicking, wild west adventure driven by two curses from Deuteronomy. It's upon these two curses that the whole gospel, and the lives of our characters, hinge.
Development will begin with a successful crowdfunding campaign. The script is complete and the production team is being assembled so that principal photography can begin after funding is secured.
RYE CONDY, A YOUNG GUNSLINGER, botches a train robbery and gets his brother hanged by a rival gang. Haunted by an Old Testament curse, “Cursed is every man who hangeth on a tree,” Rye sets off on a 2000 mile journey to bury Eli next to their “righteous” mother so she can advocate for his soul.
With the law and the gang hot on their trail, Rye, and his brother Fate, find a traveling preacher who embalms the body and offers to guide them across the backcountry.
Aided by a shoe salesman, they face hostile natives, wily revival preachers, and the most horrific curse of them all, the curse of the Law. To face the final showdown, Rye must place his life in the hands of the Man who bore his curse, Jesus Christ.
